Cookie and Tracking Notice

This notice explains the cookies, browser storage, service workers, and similar technology used by the MetiVis public website and learning beta.

Current approach

MetiVis does not currently use:

  • third-party advertising pixels;
  • cross-site behavioral advertising cookies;
  • session-replay tools;
  • persistent browser fingerprinting for marketing;
  • private learning activity to build advertising audiences.

Public website technology

Site operation and security

The website and its providers may use request metadata, cookies, session/local storage, or similar mechanisms needed to:

  • deliver the website and its media;
  • keep forms, navigation, and accessibility preferences working;
  • prevent spam, bots, fraud, or abuse;
  • maintain security and reliability.

Cloudflare Turnstile performs a security check on the beta and privacy-request forms. Cloudflare may process technical information and use the mechanisms needed to determine whether a request appears legitimate.

Limited first-party measurement

MetiVis records a small allowlisted set of events such as page views, form interactions, successful signups, and basic campaign/referral information.

Our own website-event records are designed not to contain your email address, optional learning-interest text, raw IP address, full browser user-agent string, or a persistent browser fingerprint. Infrastructure providers can still process request metadata needed to deliver and protect their services.

Campaign attribution

If a link contains UTM campaign parameters, we may preserve the source, medium, campaign, content, and term with a beta signup so we can understand how the person found MetiVis.

Learning-app technology

The signed-in learning app may use browser storage to maintain your authentication session, preferences, and feature state. Clearing browser storage or signing out ends or changes local state; it does not by itself delete server-side account or learning records.

If you enable browser push reminders, MetiVis uses a service worker and a browser/provider push subscription to deliver them. The subscription includes technical delivery keys and an endpoint. You can disable notifications in browser or device settings. Disabling a notification does not delete your account.

The current website is designed without non-essential advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking. We do not display a banner merely to create the appearance of consent where the current technology does not require that consent.

If MetiVis later adds non-essential tracking that requires consent or an opt-out where it is offered, we will update the site and this notice before enabling it.

Your controls

You can use browser and device settings to restrict or remove cookies, site storage, service workers, and notifications. Blocking technology needed for security or authentication can prevent a form or signed-in feature from working.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. MetiVis does not currently conduct cross-site behavioral advertising and does not change site behavior in response to that signal. See the California disclosures in our Privacy Policy for more information.

Following an ordinary external link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. A link is different from embedding that service's advertising tracker in MetiVis.
