Private Beta Terms

Effective date: August 11, 2026

These Private Beta Terms supplement the MetiVis Terms of Use. They apply when you accept an invitation to an invite-only MetiVis beta (the "Beta"). If these Beta Terms conflict with the general Terms of Use on a Beta-specific issue, these Beta Terms control for that issue.

1. Beta status

The Beta is experimental and under active development.

Features may be incomplete, inaccurate, unstable, slow, removed, redesigned, reset, or unavailable. The Beta may contain defects and may not behave the way the final product will behave.

Do not depend on the Beta as the sole location for important data or as a guaranteed means of completing time-critical academic work.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 and satisfy the eligibility requirements in the Terms of Use.

Beta invitations are personal unless MetiVis expressly says otherwise. Do not sell or publicly redistribute an invitation, access token, or account credential.

3. Access is limited and revocable

An invitation does not guarantee continued Beta access.

MetiVis may limit capacity, features, subjects, materials, usage, or testing cohorts and may suspend or end your Beta participation at any time, including because the Beta's testing needs change.

4. Current Beta price

Private-beta access covered by these terms is currently free unless an invitation explicitly presents a different, separately accepted paid arrangement.

MetiVis will not charge the payment method of a waitlist participant merely because the person joined the list or received an invitation.

5. Learning materials and sensitive information

Only submit materials you are permitted to use with the Beta.

Do not submit information MetiVis does not need for the learning task, including:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • government identification numbers;
  • bank, credit-card, or financial-account credentials;
  • medical records or protected health information intended for clinical care;
  • passwords or authentication secrets;
  • export-controlled, classified, or unlawfully obtained information;
  • confidential employer/client information you are not authorized to disclose;
  • another person's private information when you lack permission or a legitimate reason to provide it.

If a worksheet, book page, exam, article, video, or other source is copyrighted or restricted, you remain responsible for complying with the rights and rules that apply to your use of it.

6. Academic integrity

The Beta is for learning support. It does not override your teacher's, school's, university's, exam provider's, or employer's rules.

Do not use the Beta to:

  • cheat on an assessment where outside or AI assistance is prohibited;
  • impersonate another student;
  • fabricate participation or authorship;
  • submit an AI-created answer as independent work when the applicable rules prohibit that;
  • evade proctoring, access controls, or academic-security systems.

7. AI and Beta accuracy

The Beta may use AI and automated inference. It can be wrong.

MetiVis may misinterpret a learner response, infer the wrong prerequisite, produce an incorrect explanation, or fail to identify a relevant gap. Your Beta use helps us detect and repair those problems.

Do not rely on Beta output for high-stakes medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or professional decisions.

8. Human review during the Beta

Because the purpose of the Beta is to test and improve the learning experience, authorized MetiVis personnel may review Beta interactions, submitted materials, responses, evaluations, and feedback when reasonably needed to:

  • assess whether the learning experience behaved correctly;
  • investigate a bug or safety issue;
  • support a participant;
  • improve product quality and reliability.

We handle those interactions as described in the Privacy Policy. Participation in the Beta does not by itself give MetiVis permission to publish your identifiable learning interaction as a testimonial or public example.

9. Feedback

We may ask you for feedback. Providing feedback is voluntary unless a particular test clearly states that a response is necessary to participate in that test.

You allow MetiVis to use feedback about the product without restriction or compensation, as described in the Terms of Use. Public use of your name, image, school, or identifiable testimonial requires separate permission.

10. Research sessions and recording

Ordinary Beta use is not consent to an interview recording, screen recording, or research-session recording.

If MetiVis wants to record a research session or use your participation beyond ordinary product operations, we will present separate research/recording consent first.

MetiVis should not conduct recorded research with a 17-year-old participant until the internal minor-research gate in the legal packet has been satisfied.

11. Data loss and resets

Beta accounts, history, or progress may be reset or lost during development. MetiVis will use reasonable operational safeguards but does not promise permanent preservation of Beta data.

If a feature offers an export or deletion control, use it before a known reset if you need a copy of your own information.

12. Security and testing

Do not probe, scan, attack, exploit, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Beta or other accounts. If you believe you found a security vulnerability, stop exploiting it and report it to support@metivis.com.

Good-faith security research is subject to any security-disclosure policy MetiVis publishes and applicable law; these Beta Terms do not authorize access you otherwise do not have.

13. No confidentiality promise from participation alone

Unless MetiVis separately asks you to agree to a written confidentiality obligation, these Beta Terms do not impose an NDA on you merely because you participated.

Likewise, do not assume that unsolicited material you send to MetiVis will be treated as your confidential business information unless we expressly agree otherwise.

14. End of Beta

MetiVis may end the Beta or migrate participants to another product state. Continued access after Beta may require accepting updated terms, privacy notices, eligibility rules, or pricing.

Nothing in these Beta Terms promises that MetiVis will commercially launch any particular feature.
